AI Lab Amsterdam: Sessions and Coworking for People Who Actually Build

AI Lab is my Amsterdam based community for people who want to do more than watch an AI demo. It runs in two parts: recurring workshop sessions where we go deep on one tool or workflow together, and monthly coworking days where community members bring their own AI projects and work on them with support in the room. If you have ever left a workshop excited and then quietly stuck three weeks later, this is built for that exact moment.

What happens in an AI Lab session

Each AI Lab session focuses on one specific tool, workflow, or skill. Think building your first AI agent, setting up a working stack, or getting comfortable with a tool like Claude or a no-code automation platform. Sessions are practical from the first minute. You are not sitting through slides about what AI "could" do. You are opening your laptop and doing it, with me in the room to answer the question you did not know how to google.

Sessions are designed for non-technical people first. You do not need a background in code or data to get real value. What you need is a specific thing you want to build or understand, and the willingness to try it live.

Why coworking is the missing piece

Here is what I noticed after running enough sessions: the workshop is rarely where people get stuck. It is the two weeks after, when the excitement is still there but the momentum is gone and the half finished automation is sitting untouched in a tab.

AI Lab Coworking exists to close that gap. Once a month, community members who have already been through a session come together to keep building. There is no new lesson and no agenda from the front. You bring whatever you are working on, whatever stage it is at, and you get dedicated time plus a sparring partner to debug with, get unstuck with, or just keep you accountable.

Who this is for

AI Lab Coworking is a closed event for the AI Lab community. It works for you if:

  • You have been to an AI Lab session and have a project you want to keep pushing forward

  • You are setting up an AI stack and want company and troubleshooting while you do it

  • You are building or debugging an AI agent and could use a second set of eyes

  • You are vibecoding your way through something and want structured time to actually finish it

  • You are just experimenting with a new tool and want space to try without pressure

This is not a beginner workshop and it is not a lecture. It is working time, shared.

What a coworking day actually looks like

There is no fixed script, which is the point. You show up with your laptop and your project. I am there in person the whole time, moving between people, helping with the specific thing that is blocking you rather than a generic tutorial. Some people spend the whole session on one stuck workflow. Others use it to finally set something up from scratch they have been putting off. Both are exactly right.

How to join

Because this is a community event, access requires approval. If you are already part of AI Lab, you will get the invite directly. If you have not yet been to a session and want to join the community and be part of future coworking days, you can apply here.

FAQ

Do I need to have attended an AI Lab session before joining coworking?

Coworking is designed for people already in the AI Lab community, most of whom have been to at least one session. If you have not attended one yet, you can still apply, and joining an upcoming session is a great way to get started before your first coworking day.

What if I am not technical at all?

That is exactly who AI Lab is built for. Sessions and coworking days are designed for non-technical people first. You do not need to code. You need a project or a question and the willingness to work on it out loud.

How often does coworking happen?

AI Lab Coworking runs once a month. Sessions on specific tools and workflows run separately, roughly every four to six weeks.

If you have been meaning to finish that AI project sitting in a tab, this is your excuse. Apply to join AI Lab and get on the list for the next coworking day.
